In situ AV Installation_2012
Is an audiovisual night installation, inspired by the painted artworks from the colombia artists {Carlos Jacanamijoy}, that uses the power of sound to create an environment with three different stages the first one chaos, the second one shelter and the last one illumination, each stage has a unique sound and reaction according to the human presence, also the images try to recreate an abstract version of the jungle and invades a physical space through the use of fabrics as a surface projection.
This installation was planned for long and narrow hallways but it can be assembled in other closed spaces.
Each stage reacted to the presences of an user using proximity sensors, which triggered the sound and the effects according to the distance of the person.
The generation of the visuals were done with processing 2.0 and at the same time the mapping onto the fabrics, the installation was composed by three beamers, three laptops, several pieces of fabric a set of speakers for each stage {six in total}, and three arduino microcrontollers and three motion sensors.
